As COVID-19 (coronavirus) reaches all facets of life, industries, such as healthcare, life sciences, and the public sector, are finding new ways to defend against the spread of the virus and mitigate the impact that could have long-term effects on businesses and the economy.
QC Technology Decisions Inc. can connect you with partners that provide automation solutions to support our customers in navigating these unforeseen challenges.
The economy is taking massive blows, with companies’ ability to function being affected dramatically across a wide range of industries, from tourism and travel, to retail, and logistics, companies are suffering the onslaught of this pandemic.
However, compared to the previous outbreaks, the world is better prepared to address a global healthcare crisis today, there is technology ready and available that can be leveraged to help organizations minimize losses and also reduce the spread of diseases like COVID-19.
How does automaton help in times of Crisis?
Organizations that implement automation will have an easier time dealing with all the nuances of setting up remote work, keep up with similar levels of productivity by relying on automated back office activities, helping overwhelmed customer support staff with attended automation or front office bots, catering to the increase or decrease of supply chain demand, and many other ways that can help them weather these turbulent times with the help of automated business processes.
Here are just a few examples of how automation has been helping during this pandemic:
The need for automation in health care is critical
Hospitals and Clinics were not ready for a pandemic and they need RPA immediately to get them through these challenging times where over 30% of staff are busy with administrative tasks instead of caring for patients.
Some automation use cases having a impact in healthcare include:
Manufacturing and customer supply chains are under significant strain!
Although sometimes invisible to the public, the world's supply chain and accounting processes are significantly overwhelmed, particularly in Health Care and Public Safety areas. This affects both the customers and suppliers! Some use cases for automation in this space are shown below.
Customer Use Cases:
Although we are still all learning on how to cope and run our businesses through this pandemic there is overwhelming evidence that RPA can indeed help organizations respond and act quickly to a variety of situations. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like more information.
We recently read a post by Peter Ku in June titled Are you ready for the “Data Tsunami” from the Affordable Health Care Ruling and found it extremely interesting although my impression this is going to be more of an EARTHQUAKE than a tsunami.
Our team members have worked in health care for a number of years and they can all tell you that there is definitely no shortage of data. This data is building up under our feet every day in hospitals, clinics and health care offices around the globe.. in essence the data is already out there.. hidden.. waiting to crack the surface!!!
Peter’s absolutely right in that there will soon be a huge inflow of new enrollments in the US related to the latest affordable health care ruling. This is going to rock and test the foundation each State has laid in connecting health information and put to the test both the technology and services that have been developed. One thing is certain, if states have not moved past governance decisions at this point and established standard process/procedures for managing the information then we are sure to see more news reports soon of failed health exchanges.
Kudos to Peter for putting together such a great article that highlights the importance of data integration, security and data quality!! We have been working with Informatica tools for many years and the are, without a doubt, leaders in their field.
Our belief is that data is complex only because organizations lack the tools to manage it properly. When managed properly understanding what to do with it becomes much easier and essentially starts to be managed like any other commodity or resource; Some pioneers such as Facebook and google have found the formula to monetize it early, but the rest of the world is catching up!
Tsunami or Earthquake…. QC Technology Decisions Inc., can help prepare your business with a solid foundation and understanding so you can remain competitive. If you are interested in learning more please contact us today!
